The only Chrome extension that dubs Udemy courses in your language
Pick any Udemy course. Choose your language. Hit generate — and listen to the whole lecture dubbed with AI voice. No account. No setup. Just install and start.
Not just subtitles — your lectures are voiced in your language with AI-generated audio. The only extension that dubs Udemy courses, not just translates text.
Pick your language — subtitles are translated automatically. Free version uses Google Translate. PRO unlocks AI translation in two flavours: bring your own OpenAI/Gemini API key for maximum control, or use built-in LLM translation with no API key required — included with PRO, unlimited, and it never touches your token balance.
From Spanish to Japanese, Arabic to Hindi. One of the widest language coverages for Udemy dubbing.
Once dubbed, your lectures are cached locally. Come back anytime — no waiting, no re-generating. Your progress stays.
Everything runs in your browser. No videos are uploaded anywhere. We collect anonymous usage stats (which features are used, whether dubbing succeeded) — never your videos, captions, or identity. You can switch it off in Advanced settings.
Adjust dubbing volume, switch to subtitles-only, or mute original audio. You're in charge.
From install to your first dubbed lecture — under a minute. No account, no setup, no hassle.
Try PRO free for 3 days. Then keep it monthly, yearly — or buy lifetime. Your choice.
Premium cloud voices that sound like real narrators — not robotic browser speech. Available in dozens of languages.
Context-aware AI translations that actually make sense. Two ways to use it: bring your own OpenAI/Gemini key (full control, you pay the provider), or use built-in LLM translation with no API key — included with PRO at no token cost, unlimited.
Dubbing generates while you watch. Next lecture is ready before you finish the current one.
No waiting for generation. Press play — dubbing starts instantly as you watch. Like Netflix dubbing, but for Udemy.
Use multiple CPU cores to generate dubbing up to 4x faster. Even real-time dubbing gets smoother and more responsive.
Download dubbed videos, subtitles, and audio tracks. Learn offline, anywhere.
Chat with AI about any video — ask questions, get summaries, highlight key points, or quiz yourself. Use the built-in LLM with no API key (covered by your PRO tokens, 50 characters = 1 token) or bring your own OpenAI/Gemini key.
No commitment — cancel anytime before the trial ends.
I was taking an LLM engineering course on Udemy and realized I was spending more time reading subtitles than actually learning. So I built a rough prototype for myself — it barely worked. The voices sounded robotic, the sync was off, and my friends laughed at the first version. But I kept improving it. Then strangers from 40+ countries started using it. Now 3800+ students learn in their language every day — and I'm still improving it every week.
Udemy has started rolling out a new player design, and right now there is some incompatibility with the current version of the extension. I'm actively working on fixing it and adapting the extension to the new design.
As a temporary workaround, add this parameter to the lecture URL: ?udfrontends=false
The full lecture URL will then look like this: https://www.udemy.com/course/chatgpt-and-langchain-the-complete-developers-masterclass/learn/lecture/40261536/?udfrontends=false
Yes. The free version includes local Piper TTS dubbing, translated subtitles via Google Translate, and 50+ languages. No credit card, no trial, no catch. PRO adds real-time dubbing, premium voices, faster processing, export features, and AI Lecture Chat.
Everything runs in your browser. No videos are uploaded anywhere. We collect anonymous usage stats (which features are used, whether dubbing succeeded) — never your videos, captions, or identity. You can switch it off in Advanced settings. No account required. Your API keys (if you use Bring Your Own Key) are stored locally only.
Your PRO license works on up to 5 devices. Need more? You can easily reset activations from your account dashboard.
Yes. The price increases as we grow. Today's price is the lowest it will ever be — lock it in now.
The built-in local model likely doesn't support your language. There are hundreds of languages, each requiring neural model downloads. We've tried to cover the most popular ones, but supporting every language isn't feasible due to quality concerns and device memory limitations.
Premium cloud voices can no longer be generated directly inside browser extensions due to security restrictions — they now require a server-side solution, which is part of the PRO version.
Good news: If your language is in the PRO category, there's likely a discount available for your country — often up to 50% off! Check the PRO page to see your personalized price.
It means you use your own API keys from OpenAI, Google Gemini, or ElevenLabs for smarter translations. Your API keys are stored in your browser only. Our server receives license validation and anonymous usage stats — never your keys, captions or videos.
All translations and dubbings are automatically saved in your browser's IndexedDB storage. When you watch a lecture again, it loads from cache instantly without using API tokens.
If you see this message, you need to enable subtitles in the Udemy video player. The extension requires subtitles to create translations — the easiest source is Udemy's auto-generated captions.
In the future, we may add the ability to generate subtitles via API for videos that don't have them.
There are two audio generation modes: local models and cloud voices (server-based). For local mode, the system first needs to download voice models and data for your target language — speed depends on your computer resources since all processing happens locally. For cloud voices, delays may occur during high usage times when many users are generating audio simultaneously. The trade-off is simple: slow and free, or fast and paid.
Browser TTS uses voice packs installed in your operating system. If the voice for your target language isn't installed, it falls back to English. If the voice sounds robotic, only the basic system voice is installed — install enhanced/premium voice packs for your language using the steps below.
How to install voice packs:
Windows 10/11: Settings → Time & Language → Speech → Add voices (or Language → Add a language and install the speech pack)
macOS: System Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → System Voice → Manage Voices → download voices for your language
Linux: Voice pack installation varies by distribution. Search for "install TTS voices [your distro]" or ask ChatGPT for specific instructions.
After installing, restart your browser for the new voices to appear.
We'd love to hear from you! Use our feedback form — we read every message and respond personally.
Yes — this is the easiest way to use PRO. LLM translation works out of the box, no signup with OpenAI or Gemini, no key to paste, nothing to configure. Pick your target language, hit translate, and it just works. It's included with your PRO subscription — free and unlimited, and it never touches your token balance. If you'd rather use your own API key (more control, you pay the AI provider directly), Bring Your Own Key is still there — both modes live side by side and you can switch any time.
Every PRO subscription comes with 15,000 tokens, refreshed automatically every billing cycle (monthly or yearly). In this extension, tokens are spent only by AI Video Chat when you use the built-in LLM — 50 characters of your messages = 1 token. Everything else stays unlimited — AI translation without an API key is included with PRO at no token cost, plus local Piper TTS, browser TTS, classic cloud voices, Google Translate, and BYOK translation with your own OpenAI/Gemini key. The 3-day free trial includes 5,000 tokens to try AI Video Chat before committing.
You can buy a top-up pack at any time — 10,000 or 50,000 tokens. Top-up tokens stack on top of your subscription quota and never expire. Running out only pauses AI Video Chat — translation never uses tokens, so it keeps working either way. If you'd rather not top up, switch the chat to your own OpenAI/Gemini key (BYOK) until your next billing cycle resets the quota.
